About
SIETAR Ireland is an organization of people who recognize the value of an intercultural society, and who are involved in the world of intercultural communication, education, training, and research.
SIETAR Ireland is one of the newest members of the global SIETAR network and was established in 2008 by longstanding members of SIETAR Europa.
SIETAR Ireland seeks to make people more aware of how culture affects our daily interactions within our community, business, education, and policy-making. Intercultural understanding helps people communicate across their differences and SIETAR Ireland provides expert information and assistance in intercultural issues. We host events and offer trainings and workshops to promote exchange of ideas and experience in the intercultural field.

WHAT WE DO
SIETAR Ireland hosts and coordinates events in Dublin to help us achieve our mission to make people more aware of the impact of culture on our daily lives. We host a variety of learning events that feature members of SIETAR and our global network, as well as guests from the community and local organizations. Our events are hosted in-person (when possible) and online events so that we might be able to include our global community.
In 2021, we hosted our first Congress and look forward to hosting it again in 2022. During the summer months we host an Summer Webinar Series, and host other events and activities that brings our members and the community together to learn more about culture, intercultural communication, and diversity in Dublin and Ireland.
We will also bring people together to attend other events in the community that highlight culture and diversity, including films, festivals, speaking and panel events, and other cultural events.
Please join us at one of our upcoming events! Please take a look at our Events page for our next event.
